Sustaining Community Engagement During the Pandemic

In the sixth episode of the Open Book Webcast, Librarian Jessica Ryan shares how the Linden Hills branch of the Hennepin County Library System adapted their community engagement strategy during the pandemic.

With great resourcefulness, Jessica pivoted to begin delivering the library’s youth and adult programs virtually. Two months into the pandemic, George Floyd was killed a few miles from the library. Again, Jessica shifted library programming to respond meaningfully to the events going on in the world.
