Teen Activity Calendar: September 2016

Planning library programs that work for your community members takes hard work, insight and the ability to turn failures into opportunities for improvement. Teens, especially, are notorious for being a difficult group to plan for. Not only is it difficult to plan programs that will interest them, it’s sometimes difficult to get them to come to the library at all!

Establishing a Teen Advisory Board is one way to get teens invested in the services your library provides. By giving teens a voice in the programs, and recruiting their help in planning, you are empowering them and helping to ensure they’ll participate. You can learn more about involving teens in the planning process in the on-demand webinar Mix It Up: Spaces, Programs and Outreach That Engage Teens.

Even after you get teens in the door, we know teen programming takes a lot of work. So, to help make your life easier, we’ve enlisted the help of teen services guru and 2012 Mover and Shaker Emily Ellis to provide you with a monthly calendar filled with programming ideas.

Download the September calendar now and be on the lookout for a new calendar every month!
