How do you find time in the day for students to do these activities? It seems that every moment in our elementary school schedule is taken.

If you could kindly also post a photo of your storage solution with the drawers open. We currently do not have any storage, this will help me plea my case. Thanks!

      Hi Stephanie,
We’ve now incorporated photos into this blog from Heather Lister, our guest blogger for this post. These photos reveal what her library’s makerspace storage drawers look like when they are open. I also want to point out that Demco’s makerspace storage options may be of interest to you based on your comment. There are several options available that include drawers. Further, I’ll mention that Demco Interiors offers custom design services and solutions on par with the storage drawers in Heather’s library. The design experts also help you arrive at options that work best for your space and budget. Thanks again for your interest.

Darlene, all of our students have a “Flex” period in their day. This is the time where they go to band, chorus, orchestra, get remedial help, or use it as a “study hall”. This is when our makerspace is used.
